Winslow Rotary Marks End Polio Day

To mark Polio day October 24th Winslow Rotarians are seen planting purple crocus corms on arranged sites in Winslow and Whitchurch.

The campaign to rid the world of Polio has been supported for many years using the purple crocus theme. Planting them on permitted sites that will have a good showing annually when they flower in the spring. Massive success has been achieved and there are only two endemic countries left in the world Pakistan and Afghanistan.
